A very solid thriller with a strong cast. This film reminded me of Street Kings with Keanu Reeves, and not by accident. For a long time now, the crime thriller genre has been delighting or disappointing many fans of this kind of movies and series. When the first season of True Detective came out, it literally caused a sensation in the industry. Films and shows like these are able to pull the viewer in with their stories and the personal struggles of the characters.
Crime 101 is a classic crime thriller that includes all the elements that keep you in suspense until the very end. I wouldn’t say the film is incredible, but it tells its story in its own way, in its own style and genre - exactly as it should. If you’re a fan of this genre, I don’t think the movie will disappoint you.
As for the moral side of the characters, quite a few questions arise. Sometimes their actions slightly contradict the values that are shown when each character is being developed. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t call it a major problem. After all, the real world isn’t perfectly ordered like clockwork, and many people tend to act illogically and against their conscience. So overall, it’s an excellent film, and I recommend everyone watch it!
